We are receiving a significant number of enquiries regarding the withdrawal of CHC funding. As in all of our cases, we focus on not only the needs of the individual, but also on the process carried out by the CCG. We are finding in many circumstances that the CCG has not followed the correct process. In order to highlight this growing issue, we are reporting every instance of bad practice to the NHS England office which covers the CCG in question, and also to the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman. It is our view that change can only occur when enough cases are brought to the attention of the decision and policy makers. It is sadly now not enough to challenge cases individually. We need to highlight instances of bad practice in the hope it will prevent others from having the same injustice happen to them.
