It has been a very interesting and productive few weeks both personally and professionally. Health Advocacy UK have had a number of very positive successful cases, including achieving retrospective finding for a client without the family being put through a stressful and emotional meeting with the CCG. The wealth of evidence and written reports provided to the CCG were enough to support eligibility and to prove that the previous decision was incorrect and eligibility for Continuing Healthcare was proven. Health Advocacy are now also members of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce. Although we cover the whole of England and Wales, we consider the Midlands and Shropshire to be our ‘home base’. We are very much looking forward to working with the chamber to raise awareness of the issues facing applicants for CHC funding and also care for those living with dementia. Personally, I am very proud to have achieved my International qualification as a Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional
